Fresno State hosts luggage drive for foster children

FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A luggage drive for local foster children is taking place on Saturday at Fresno State.

According to the Fresno State Alumni Association, organizers will be holding the luggage drive to give everyone who is in the foster system a dignified way to carry their belongings.

People are encouraged to donate new or gently used luggage for the foster children in the community. Organizers say people can also donate backpacks, duffel bags and backpacks.

There will be three drop-off locations at Fresno State:

  • Mount Zion Assemblies
  • Smittcamp Alumni House
  • Legacy Business Hub

The drive is on Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Those who wish to volunteer can do so on the day of the event too.
