Chicago Fire actress to come to Madera for this festival

MADERA, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – The Pomegranate Fruit and Nuts Festival will return to Madera on Saturday and will have several surprises for the public, including the attendance of an NBC Chicago Fire actress.

Miranda Rae Mayo of NBC’s Chicago Fire will be the celebrity guest at the festival. According to officials, she is known for her role as Lt. Stella Kidd on the show. The actress is originally from Fresno but she moved to Los Angeles shortly after graduation to pursue her career full-time.

Other artists coming to this year’s edition include Jaded, a cover band based out of the San Joaquin Valley, playing various hits from the 60s to now. The festival will also count with the Ohana Comic Con, family events and Valley Stealz Streetwear and Thrift Expo.

The Pomegranate Fruit and Nut Festival will be at the Madera Couty Fairgrounds on Nov. 2. The entrance to the festival is free, as well as parking. For more information, visit their website.
