Vehicle hits fire hydrant, flooding Madera roadway, police say

MADERA, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A vehicle struck a fire hydrant causing water to flow into the roadway in Madera Friday, according to the Madera Police Department.

Police say they are investigating the non-injury traffic collision in the area of Rotan Avenue and Howard Road.

Westbound traffic on Howard Road from Rotan Ave was blocked off. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
