2 sent to hospital after crash near Valley Children’s Stadium in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Two people were sent to the hospital following a crash that was initially believed to be a pin-in in Fresno, the Fresno Fire Department said.

The first responders were called to the traffic collision in the area of East Barstow Avenue near Cedar Avenue, near the Valley Children’s Stadium, on Thursday morning. According to crews, initial reports indicated it was a pin-in, meaning that someone was trapped inside a vehicle.

However, firefighters report this was not the case. Images shared by the Fresno Fire Department show how a white SUV crashed against the gates of the Valley Children’s Stadium, while a light-colored sedan was on the pavement.

Fire crews report the collision sent two people to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
