Fresno State struggled to put away Hawaii, then eventually fell in close, controversial fashion 21-20 on Saturday. The unraveling began when star cornerback Cam Lockridge got called for targeting and was tossed from the game in the fourth quarter. However, replays showed Lockridge appearing to lead with his hands and not the crown of his helmet. Three plays later, Hawaii cut Fresno State’s 20-7 lead to 20-14 on a touchdown pass.
