FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – As many as six dogs have been seen on security cameras roaming in a pack around a north Fresno neighborhood, leaving residents in a constant state of fear.
“They’re just prowling the area, they’re pretty good-sized dogs,” said Robert Smith, whose security cameras caught the prowling dogs.
‘Either talk about euthanasia or keep watching dogs die in the streets,’ Fresno dog rescuer warns
Robert lives off West Alluvial and North Gregory Avenue in northwest Fresno. His videos first show the pack of dogs in the neighborhood on Oct. 29. He says the dogs have already been responsible for the death of a beloved neighborhood cat.
“They literally just ran up on her, killed her, and threw her,” said Robert Smith. “It was really sad.”
He says since then nearly a dozen more stray cats have been killed.
“The way it seems from the videos, they don’t look malnourished at all and they’re not killing the cats to feed, they’re just killing them to kill them,” described Smith.
