Reedley men arrested in Thanksgiving theft of $30K in tools

TULARE COUNTY, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Three Reedley men were arrested after tens of thousands of dollars in tools were stolen from a Kingsburg business on Thanksgiving day, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office announced.

Deputies say on Friday they were called to “Nutrius” in Kingsburg for a commercial burglary resulting in more than $40,000 in tools and equipment stolen.

Investigators say the suspects went into the business three separate times, beginning at 4 a.m. and ending at 10 p.m. Surveillance video allowed investigators to identify a vehicle involved.

Detectives report after tracking down the owner of the truck and its location, with help from Reedley Police the truck was stopped in Reedley and the driver was detained. About $5,000 worth of stolen tools were inside the truck.

Two additional suspects were identified in the surveillance video who deputies say were also tracked down and arrested during the service of a search warrant. During the search warrant, about $25,000 worth of tools and equipment were found in the trunk of the second vehicle involved in the burglary.
