Motorcyclist arrested for reckless driving in Fresno

FRESNO, California — A motorcyclist was arrested for reckless driving after reaching speeds over 110 mph in a 55 mph zone during a holiday weekend, according to the California Highway Patrol.The incident occurred near Highway 180 and Brawley Avenue when the rider’s dangerous behavior caught the attention of CHP officers. Despite attempts to stop the motorcyclist, the rider accelerated, prompting a CHP helicopter to track the motorcycle near Highway 180 and Fowler Avenue until ground units could close in. The unlicensed rider was subsequently arrested, and the motorcycle was impounded for 30 days, stated the CHP.
