Warming fire spreads to 76-year-old commercial building in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A commercial building which records show dates back to 1948 was damaged by a warming fire in Fresno on Friday morning.

According to the Fresno Fire Department, crews responded to the vacant commercial building at 3621 E. Tulare Avenue in Fresno at around 9:30 a.m. following reports of a structure fire there. When crews arrived, they found a fire burning against an outside wall that was starting to spread to the inside of the building.

The fire department was able to extinguish the blaze before it caused significant damage.

Officials describe the building as a vacant commercial building and online property records show that it was first built in 1948 .

The Fresno Fire Department confirmed that the incident was the result of a warming fire.
