LOGAN, UT – Bulldog Junior Forward Alex Crawford put up a career-high 26 points in Fresno State’s (4-11, 0-4 MW) first contest of 2025, but the personal performance is outshined in an 89-83 loss to Utah State (14-1, 4-0 MW).
Through the first 21 minutes of action, Vance Walberg’s group looked poised to pull of a major upset early in conference play. Fresno State took a 3-point lead going into the half, stunning the home crowd of the one-loss Aggies.
Yet, the latter half of the ballgame would belong to Utah State. With the Aggies scoring 50 points in the second half, while forcing 14 total turnovers to build as much as a 14-point lead.
The Bulldogs would climb back late, but it would not be enough as they drop their fourth straight conference matchup.
Up next, Fresno State will continue their road trip taking on Colorado State (8-6, 2-1 MW) on January 7th at 6:00 PM PST.
