Freezing Conditions in Southern San Joaquin Valley; Storms Expected Next Week

San Joaquin Valley, CA – A chilly start to the weekend is expected across the southern San Joaquin Valley, with temperatures possibly dipping to freezing levels Saturday morning.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Freeze Watch for rural areas in the region, where lows may fall to 32°F or below.

Dry and warmer conditions will prevail through Sunday, with highs reaching the 70s. However, a storm system could bring light rain Monday and Tuesday, mainly affecting the Kern Mountains and Sierra Nevada.
