Former Fresno restaurant to become affordable housing, over 1/3 of units to go to veterans

FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A new affordable multi-family housing development is breaking ground in Fresno this Friday – officials say a portion of the units will be reserved for veterans.

The four-story Dakota development will include 114 affordable housing units, 45 of which will be designated for veterans.

According to Dakota’s website, the units will be affordable to residents making 30%, 50%, and 60% of the area’s median income. Per RentCafe, in 2025, the median household income in Fresno was $66,804…
