$80,000 worth of stolen property recovered in Madera County

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Two people were arrested following a series of commercial burglaries after the Madera County Sheriff’s Office said they found similarities and a specific crime pattern linking the incidents together.

According to an update on Friday, multiple search warrants were served, and $80,000 worth of stolen property linked to 13 commercial burglaries was recovered by the Madera County Sheriff’s Investigations Unit.

Two people, a 38-year-old and a 45-year-old from Fairmead, were arrested. Detectives were able to recover one stolen pickup truck, three stolen Vespa scooters, and five pickup truck loads of stolen property. The total amount was worth approximately $80,000.00.

The suspects were identified as 38-year-old Cody McGinnis and 45-year-old Luis Velasco.
