KINGSBURG, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Kingsburg officially opened their first-ever dog park on Saturday.
“The citizens for years have been telling us that they wanted a dog park and we’re happy to announce we finally have one that is dedicated specifically for dog use,” said Mayor of Kingsburg Brandon Pursell.
Dog park in Kingsburg to reopen after $1.2M upgrade
The Kingsburg Dog Park, located at 1250 Laurel St., sits on a large former water basin that has since received $1.24 million in upgrades, including a walking path.
“What it was is pretty much a dilapidated area that was never really used for the dogs and that’s because we just didn’t want to spend city dollars on it,” Pursell said. “But with the state money coming in for this, we were able to build this beautiful park.”…
