FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A man was arrested in Fresno after police reported finding illegally owned firearms and multiple opium poppy plants and marijuana plants.
The Fresno Police Department detectives said they were conducting a follow-up regarding a firearm investigation on April 30. During the investigation, they contacted a man who was not allowed to own or possess firearms.
A search of the home uncovered nine firearms, approximately 60 opium poppy plants (cut and scored), marijuana plants and thousands of various rounds of ammunition, police say. The man was arrested and booked in the Fresno County Jail under suspicion of various weapons and drug-related charges.
