Man arrested during welfare check in Madera, police say

MADERA, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A man on probation was arrested during a welfare check at a motel in Madera Thursday night, the Madera Police Department said.

Police said officers were conducting a welfare check at the “6 Suites Motel”, where they contacted 32-year-old Brandon Crumley.

Officers said as they attempted to contact the people inside Crumley’s room, they heard the sound of a gun racking a round into the chamber…
