FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Some shelters in the Central Valley are partaking in California’s Adopt-A-Pet Day, which means people can get their new best friend for free.
On Saturday, June 7, more than 150 animal shelters across the state will host fee-waived adoption events as part of the second annual Adopt-A-Pet Day in California.
The shelters listed below will be participating in the state’s second event:
- Central California SPCA at Reptile & Pet Expo/Fresno Fairgrounds, they will be at 1121 S. Chance Ave., in Fresno
- Central California SPCA located at 103 S. Hughes Ave., in Fresno
- Fresno Humane Animal Services located at 1510 W. Dan Ronquillo Dr., in Fresno
- Valley Animal Center located at 3934 N. Hayston Ave., in Fresno
- City of Fresno Animal Center located at 5277 E. Airways Blvd., in Fresno
- Miss Winkles Pet Adoption Center located at 85 N. Temperance Ave., in Clovis
- City of Selma Animal Services located at 2831 W. Front St. in Selma
- Madera County Animal Services located at 205 Tozer St., in Madera
- Visalia Animal Services located at 29016 Hwy 99 in Visalia
- Tulare County Animal Services will have an event at PetSmart located at 4240 S. Mooney Blvd., in Visalia
- Tulare County Animal Services located at 14131 Ave 256 in Visalia
- City of Huron will be having an event at 36311 Lassen Ave., in Huron
