Resident, firefighter injured after Fresno duplex catches flames

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A Fresno resident and a firefighter were injured after flames erupted at a home Tuesday evening.

Around 6:45 p.m., crews were dispatched to a fire at a duplex in the 2300 block of East Tulare Street.

While they worked to control the flames, one resident and one crew member were injured. Fresno Fire says the pair sustained non-life-threatening injuries and are expected to recover.

Crews asked the public to avoid the area while they perform overhaul operations. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but updates will be shared as information becomes available…
