Fireworks stolen from Bullard High School fireworks stand in Fresno recovered

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Fireworks stolen from a Bullard High School Fireworks stand on Herndon and Marks in Fresno have been recovered. This comes after the booster club says thieves stole $40,000 worth of their inventory. While they’re happy to get some of their product back, they say they’re still missing a lot of the stolen fireworks. “We had about three or four carloads of inventory returned to us today. So it was like Christmas,” booster board member and Bullard High School mom Hilary Connors said. She says they found out on Tuesday morning that the fireworks had been stolen, and were worried they wouldn’t be able to fundraise enough this season for the team. They had only been open one day. “When we were setting up on July 1, we noticed that half of our inventory was missing. The locks had been cut,” she said. The money raised goes to support the team’s travel expenses and helps them buy uniforms.

But Wednesday afternoon, they got the news they were holding out for. “Thank goodness for the Save Mart Shopping Center. There are cameras probably on are known to the people that help themselves. So, looking at the footage of the cameras where they were able to determine vehicles and whatnot, and great detective work,” she said. Police say the fireworks were recovered after officers served a search warrant. No arrests have been made so far. “Please come out and support us. We’re still here. We’ll be here until late on the fourth,” Connor’s said. They are still looking for the rest of the fireworks, so anyone with information is asked to call the police…
