Man rescued from Angel Falls after fracture

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man was rescued from the water in Angel Falls on Friday, the Madera County Sheriff’s Office said.

The sheriff’s office Search and Rescue team responded to Angel Falls just before 2:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a man trapped in the water.

The man reportedly suffered a compound leg fracture. He was extricated by H40 and transported for medical care by Skylife. His status is unknown at this time.

Following this incident, deputies wanted to remind residents to always stay alert around all waterways and avoid swimming alone during the holiday weekend – and never get in the water while under the influence…
