Girl rescued from chimney in central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A girl had to be rescued from a chimney in central Fresno early Friday morning, according to the Fresno Fire Department.

Fire crews responded to a home near Ashlan and West avenues around 4 a.m. for the rescue of a young girl stuck in a chimney with her hands above her head.

The occupants of the home said they heard someone walking on the roof, and then they heard yelling from the chimney.

Fire officials say they gave the girl oxygen and started to remove bricks to rescue the juvenile. It took firefighters around thirty minutes to remove the girl from the chimney…
