Fresno stabbing suspect tied to stealing ‘priceless historical collectibles,’ police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man who was arrested for attempted homicide has been connected to a burglary at a Fresno home where historical collectibles were stolen, the police department said Thursday.

Police said that Joshua White was connected to a residential burglary case. White was arrested earlier this month as the suspect in a stabbing and was booked into the Fresno County Jail.

According to police, on July 7, White had stabbed a person in Fresno during a confrontation that turned into a fight. The victim in that case was taken to a local hospital and was listed in critical condition.

In regards to this case, police were working a residential burglary case. Police said “priceless historical collectibles” such as statues and paintings were stolen. They were stolen for the purpose of selling them for financial gain, police said…
