FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A former founder and executive for a charter school in Madera County has been charged with embezzling money from a program that received federal funding, the Department of Justice announced Tuesday.
Madera man, Nicholas M. Retana, 67, was charged with one count of embezzling money on July 17. On Monday, the indictment was unsealed and he was arraigned.
