FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The Fresno County Farm Bureau said Valley farmers are enjoying a fruitful harvest this year. A lack of rain and temperatures under 100 have some growers more than a week ahead of schedule.
“This is go time in the San Joaquin Valley. So much of what we produce comes off right this time of year or in the next couple of weeks here,” Fresno County Farm Bureau CEO Ryan Jacobsen said. “Right now, a lot of our farmers are looking anywhere from three days to a week, potentially a week and a half in front of what we would call average.”
