California Lottery strikes again as man hits the jackpot at perfectly named Lucky Market

FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — A man struck it rich with a $5 million win from a 100X Scratchers ticket purchased at the aptly named Lucky Market on South Elm Avenue.

The California Lottery, which has been supporting public education for 40 years, continues to provide supplemental funding to schools with every game sold.

“Raising extra money for California public education is the only reason the California Lottery exists,” said Carolyn Becker, spokesperson for the California Lottery. “In 1984, voters created the Lottery to help out with supplemental funding for schools, and for 40 years players have provided more than $46 billion in extra money used across all levels from kindergarten through university.”…
