Victim says police ‘don’t really care’ after crash near Fresno’s Woodward Park

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The victim of a hit-and-run near Fresno’s Woodward Park says her experience interacting with Fresno Police has been “disheartening,” but officials with the City of Fresno say they are working towards a solution following the incident that took place near the infamous Friant and Shepherd intersection.

Hit-and-run victim Ruth Steinman says she decided to go out for a jog around noon on Thursday, July 24, and stopped near Woodward Park.

“I did wait for the sign,” Steinman said. “There’s a lot of people who don’t even pay attention to the signage and kind of just walk or run whenever they want.”
