Teen accused of attempted homicide at family gathering in Fresno, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A family gathering nearly turned deadly after an argumentative teen returned with a rifle, the Fresno Police Department said.

The argument broke out at a Fresno home in the area of Blackstone and Dakota avenues around 5:40 a.m. Wednesday. The 17-year-old involved left, only to return two hours later, armed with a rifle.

Another argument ensued; this time, however, it escalated further. Police said the teen discharged one round from close proximity, striking the man he was arguing with in the chest…
