Animal Rescue of Fresno: The Forgotten Few

In a perfect world, all people would have a cozy home, peace would be everyone’s religion, and places like Animal Rescue of Fresno would not exist. Every dog on the planet would live in a safe place, with loads of love, plenty to eat, and only happy dreams each night. Also, in this make-believe world, all animal abusers would be banned to a desert island, and forced to play the Queen of Heart’s version of Survivor. Once the tribal council has spoken, it’s off with your head! Hey, a girl can dream, can’t she?

That’s one thing you can say about dogs––they don’t judge people, despite our bad behaviors. They have one job in life, and that’s to please their owner. That’s why they’re always looking for validation. Did I run around enough when they came home? Did I snuggle with them enough after a bad day? Did I try not to snooze enough on their pillow? Trust me kids, yes, yes, and yes. At ARF, we really only want one thing, and that’s for all our dogs to find a home of their own, with a family who loves them. I mean, of course we want other things, like a new dishwasher, dog treats, and 9,000 pounds of laundry detergent. But all good things must wait. And speaking of waiting……
