Hanford, CA – Residents across Hanford and much of the central San Joaquin Valley are bracing for another two days of triple-digit heat as a heat advisory remains in effect until 11 p.m. Monday. Temperatures could peak at 105°F both Sunday and Monday, raising the risk of heat-related illnesses.
According to the National Weather Service in Hanford, the advisory covers most of the central and western valley, including Lemoore, Visalia, Porterville, Reedley, and Coalinga. High humidity will compound the danger, making heat exhaustion and heat stroke more likely for anyone outdoors during peak afternoon hours.
Officials urge residents to stay hydrated, remain in air-conditioned spaces, and avoid strenuous activities during the hottest parts of the day.
