SANGER, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – An officer with the Chowchilla Police Department, accused of transporting his girlfriend’s three children against their will, has been formally charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment, and child cruelty.
On June 8, 41-year-old Douglas Andrew Divine was arrested by officers from Sanger Police Department after they were called out to a disturbance.
Officers say further investigation found that the two minor children and an adult man were being transported from Sanger to Orange Cove against their will; Divine was arrested in connection with the incident. Divine was later placed on administrative leave from the Chowchilla Police Department…
