Vehicle connected to carjacking investigation found in Madera County canal

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A vehicle that is connected to a carjacking investigation was recovered from a canal in Madera County Wednesday, the sheriff’s office said.

The Madera County Sheriff’s Office’s dive team assisted the California Highway Patrol in the Madera area with the recovery.

The dive team responded near Avenue 26 and Road 26 in Madera County after a submerged vehicle was found in the canal.

The vehicle had been there for some time and was unoccupied. Deputies said that the license plate returned was connected to a previous carjacking investigation…
