California’s Central Valley: Dry Stretch With Rising Heat Until Next Weekend

Hanford, Calif. – Residents in the San Joaquin Valley can expect rising heat through next week, with temperatures climbing from the low 90s this weekend to a scorching 105 degrees by Friday.

According to the National Weather Service, Hanford will stay mostly sunny and dry with northwest winds between 5 and 10 mph, occasionally gusting up to 15 mph during the evenings. Saturday will reach a high near 93, with overnight lows dipping to the upper 60s.

Sunday through Tuesday will bring highs in the lower 90s, providing a brief break before a late-week heat-up. By Wednesday, temperatures will edge closer to 98, and by Friday, the Valley floor is expected to peak at 105 under clear skies…
