A motorcycle rider killed in a hit-and-run collision on Highway 168 in Fresno late Thursday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the rider was traveling west near Shields Avenue when he was struck from behind by a Hyundai Elantra at 11:58 p.m. The impact threw the rider from his Kawasaki and onto the windshield of the approaching vehicle, which continued driving while pushing the motorcycle.
The rider eventually ended up on the highway, where, “due to extremely dark conditions and limited street lighting in the area,” he was struck by additional vehicle traffic. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the CHP said…
