Storm causes driver to lose control on Fresno freeway

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A driver slid off the freeway and crashed into a tree following a surprise thunderstorm on Tuesday.

CHP says slippery roads mixed with dry-weather speeds caused the car to slide off the interchange near Highway 168 and Highway 41.

The car came to a stop on the dirt berm after hitting and knocking down a tree.

While the driver was left uninjured, CHP says this incident serves as a good reminder to ensure your vehicle is always prepared for stormy weather…
