FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Are you missing a tortoise in Clovis?
According to the Clovis Police Department, a large tortoise was seen walking in the roadway on Sunday night. Police say a caller described the tortoise walking down the southbound lanes of Thompson Avenue near Ashlan Avenue around 7:30 p.m.
Both a Clovis Police officer and a Community Service Officer responded to the scene. The Community Service Officer collected the tortoise and dropped it off at the Clovis Animal Services.
Police say the tortoise doesn’t appear to have any injuries and is being cared for at this time by Clovis Animal Services…
