Deputies with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office are investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred Saturday night in Selma. Deputies were alerted to shots fired shortly before 10 p.m. in the area of Highway 43 and E. Nebraska Avenue in Selma. Selma police attempted to contact the occupants of a vehicle in the Walmart shopping center that they believe is related to the shots fired. Deputies said a person fled from the vehicle and an officer fired their weapon, striking the suspect. The suspect was listed in fair condition. Detectives are investigating the initial shots fired near Highway 43 and Nebraska.
