DUI Collision in Madera County Kills One, Injures Two Others; Oakhurst Woman to Face Charges

COARSEGOLD, CA — “On Sunday, September 7, 2025, at approximately 7:37 p.m., CHP Madera Officers responded to a crash involving two vehicles, on SR-41, north of Road 406.

A preliminary investigation indicates:

A 30-year-old woman from Oakhurst, CA was driving a black Honda Accord, northbound on SR-41, approaching Road 406. A 63-year-old woman from Fresno, CA was driving a white Ford Escape, southbound on SR-41, approaching Road 406. As the two vehicles approached each other, the Honda veered into the southbound lane and collided head-on with the Ford. Both vehicles sustained major damage and came to rest blocking the roadway. Despite life saving measures by good Samaritans and medical personnel, the right front passenger in the Ford (87-year-old woman from Fresno, CA), was pronounced deceased at the scene. Both drivers were transported to Community Regional Medical Center – Fresno with major injuries. All parties were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash…
