City of Kerman to host scarecrow contest

KERMAN, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Kerman wants its businesses, organizations and residents to get into the fall spirit and make the best scarecrow.

The city of Kerman posted about the competition on social media, offering prizes for the best entries.

To participate, the scarecrow must be created from scratch and constructed in “good taste.” The scarecrow must be free-standing and it should not be a factory-made scarecrow.

On the form, organizers clarify that no entry will be accepted that reflects controversial, social or political views. The form encourages entrants to “Have fun and be original.”…
