Reedley mourns woman killed in domestic violence shooting

REEDLEY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Friends and family of a Reedley woman shot and killed by her husband gathered for a vigil on Sunday to remember 43-year-old Yesennia Rocha.

On Saturday, Sept. 6, police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance between a husband and wife in Reedley, near Frankwood and Parlier avenues. Upon arrival, responding officers found Yesennia dead after suffering several gunshot wounds.

Her husband, 43-year-old Michael Rocha, fled the scene following the shooting, which took place in front of their children and other family members…
