FOWLER – A mother and son in Fowler have died in what the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office believes was a murder-suicide.
FSO identified the victims as Cheryl Hanoian, 78, and her son, James Kelley McFarland, 60. The Fowler PD requested the sheriff’s office homicide unit take over the investigation.
“Detectives have learned McFarland recently moved into his mother’s home in Fowler, along with his pets, after living out of state for several years,” the press release said. “It is unknown what may have led to this tragic situation.”…
