Avalon Commons, a new affordable housing community, has opened in northeast Fresno. The development offers 60 homes for low-income families. It is located within the Clovis Unified School District, providing residents access to local schools. Fresno Housing developed the project, which received $1.3 million from the No Place Like Home program. Fifteen units include on-site supportive services from the county’s Department of Behavioral Health.
Amenities at Avalon Commons include a community room, dog park, basketball court, playground, and laundry facilities. The grand opening marks the completion of Phase I.
