Warm start to the week, and a wet finish

Sunday was a warm one around the Valley, and we should do that again on Monday! Highs on Sunday reached 78 in Merced, 81 in Fresno, Visalia, Madera, and Hanford, while Porterville got to 83. There will be a few more clouds around Monday afternoon, but temperatures should be almost identical to Sunday.

We’ll continue with partly cloudy skies but no fog through Wednesday. Highs on Veterans Day (which is Tuesday) will reach the upper 70’s, while Wednesday will be a bit cooler, but we’ll still warm up into the middle 70’s. Enjoy the next few days; Wednesday will be the last day we see 70 degree temperatures for quite a while.

Clouds will thicken up Wednesday night, and it’s now looking like the rain from Thursday’s storm will begin around sunrise and continue into Thursday evening. Longer range models are now settling on us getting around 3/4″ of rain on Thursday, but higher resolution models will have a more precise forecast once the storm comes into their short range window…
