Ford truck catches fire after crash with tree in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A driver in a Ford truck lost control, hit a tree, and the truck caught fire on Friant Road, Monday morning in northeast Fresno, according to the Fresno Police Department.

The crash happened around 9 a.m. on Friant Road near Copper Avenue. Police say the driver was going south on Friant Road, lost control, spun out, went over a curb, and crashed into a tree.

The driver was able to escape before the truck caught fire. The driver was taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries…
