MADERA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A large stretch of Madera’s railroad crossings was closed after a man was hit and killed by a train Tuesday afternoon.
Around 2:45 p.m., police say a 52-year-old man was struck by a train in the area of Gateway Drive and 3rd Street.
Railroad crossings north of 9th St. were closed for about an hour while crews worked to clear the area.
The circumstances surrounding the collision are still under investigation, but officers say there is no indication of foul play…
