November 21, 2025 – Madera County Sheriff’s Office officials report that in November 2024, Madera County Sheriff’s K-9 Obie sustained multiple gunshot wounds while protecting deputies during a pursuit of an armed felon. Obie has since recovered and continues to serve Madera County.
