FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Fresno Yosemite International Airport’s mascot has officially come to life.
The airport says Gordo, their giant blue-and-yellow bird in hiking boots, will be making appearances this month.
Gordo’s is a cross between California’s Yellow Warbler and Scrub Blue Jay, and the Spanish translation of his name, “fat,” is cleverly also the IATA location code for Fresno’s airport: “FAT.”…
