Caltrans warns Fresno’s 45,000 home plan could create traffic problems in these places

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – An increase in the number of vehicles expected to travel to and from the proposed “Southeast Development Area Specific Plan” in Fresno will add over 860,000 total daily trips, according to data supplied to the Fresno City Council by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).

The City of Fresno says the “Southeast Development Area” (SEDA) would add much-needed housing and potentially thousands of jobs. But Caltrans warns it would also create traffic issues in certain areas…
