Clovis woman’s Christmas village honors late brother, tells story of love and loss

CLOVIS, Calif. (FOX26) — What began as a single Christmas village piece gifted by her grandmother nearly two decades ago has grown into a holiday tradition, and a deeply personal tribute for Clovis resident Tamara Barile.

Barile’s Christmas Village now features more than 500 collectible pieces, transforming her home into a detailed winter wonderland filled with miniature homes, streetlights, beaches, ships and bustling pathways. But beyond the twinkling lights and elaborate scenes, Barile says every building carries meaning.

“Each piece represents someone I love or a memory I cherish,” Barile said. “My entire country scene is a tribute to my baby brother, who passed away unexpectedly last year. This village is built with intention, remembrance and a whole lot of love.”…
