FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – More than 80 metal lanterns uncovered during high-speed rail construction in Fresno’s Chinatown earlier this year have finally been identified, putting months of speculation to rest.
The discovery was made during excavation work at the Belmont Underpass on June 9, when construction crews came across 82 lanterns in a locked room.
