FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – An atmospheric river is moving across California – and according to weather predictions, cities across Central California could be inundated with over a foot of rain by the end of the week.
The predictions have placed the entire northern, central valley, and southern valleys on a flood watch – and the nearby mountains, under a winter storm warning.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), Fresno could see over 8 inches from now until 4 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27.
Other valley cities may see similar totals. NWS predicts that Merced, Madera, and Chowchilla could all see more than 7 inches; Visalia and Porterville, over 6 inches…
